    Supplier Quality Engineer

    Currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio full-time temp to hire opportunity


    Company is a leading provider of a broad range of communication, electronic and sensor systems used on military, homeland security and commercial platforms. They are also a prime contractor in aerospace systems, security and detection systems, and pilot training.

    Company provides a broad range of components, products, subsystems, systems and related services for military and commercial customers. We are searching for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

    Candidate will be developing mechanisms for driving continuous improvements with the company’s supply base by developing and strengthening processes that will reduce receiving inspections, reduce component defects, and reduce end item product risks. This will include reviews of program & product specific requirements, conducting technical analysis & verification reviews of supplier documentations & processes, and leading the issue resolution process with permanent corrective and preventive actions. Besides Suppliers, you will be interfacing with Manufacturing, Program Management, Purchasing, Design Engineering, and other divisions to achieve objectives.


    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree with 5+ years in manufacturing or equivalent experience
    • Thorough knowledge of ISO-9001 requirements
    • Strong GD&T and Metrology/Gaging skills
    • ASTM, ANSI and Mil-Standards hands on work experience
    • Basic knowledge in Statistics and SPC
    • Experience with structured problem solving (i.e. 8D, 7-step, DMAIC, statistical analysis)
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven record of accomplishments
    • Strong writing & presentation skills and proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Self-directed/starter and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion
    • Ability to obtain Department of Defense Security Clearance
    • Ability to on travel frequently and periodically on short notice

    Additional Desired Skills:
    • Supplier Quality Engineering which included extensive process auditing
    • AS9100 standard working knowledge with related auditing experience
    • Certified Quality Engineer and/or Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt
    • Department of Defense experience
    • Lean Manufacturing - trained and experience in implementing principles
    • Advance Product Quality Planning, FMEA, PPAP, First Article, & Control Plans work experience
    • CNC/CMM Programming experience
