    ***  Special Process Auditor ***

    Seeking an Aerospace Special Process Auditor for 1 year contract opportunity part-time (16 hours per week) Irvine, CA.


    College Degree with added weight to degrees in the exact field

    • Science and Engineering degrees
    • A 2year degree or vocational degree shall be used instead in a field where college degree is deemed not necessary

    Related professional experience

    • 3 years minimum of professional experience in the field
    • Past and current related job functions, On the Job Training and experience (preference to documented OJT)
    • Projects, committees, etc.
    • Hands on practice is highly desirable

    Metrology experience

    • Be familiar and know how to interpret data from the main stream metrology in the field
    • Be a breath with future trend
    • Verifiable training
    • Past verifiable certifications, formal training (corporate training, seminars…)
    • Seminars and conferences. Past certifications, licenses and certificates can be used as job training

    Complete formal training to be an auditor

    • NADCAP certifications or NAS 410 (SAS EI-16-12) certifications, which describe Non Destructive Testing requirements
    • Completed LMS Assessor Training courses (2 courses), or equivalent for external suppliers
    • Demonstrate basic understanding and knowledge of Quality System requirements and guiding documents: AS9100D, ISO9100
    • Familiar with various applicable/governing documents/standard in the field:
    • J-Standard (nice to have)
    • Raytheon Specs and any other standards
    • Prior general experience as an auditor or be willing to shadow auditors at the beginning
    • Participated in person on at least one Chapter 7 RESA as an understudy to an auditor (Nice to have)

    Communication skills

    Able to communicate to suppliers, program managers, quality engineers


    Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification, NAS 410, NACE or SSPC Coating Inspector, NASF Electroplating or Surface Finishing, MTI Heat Treat Technical Specialist.

    1) Welding

    4) Heat Treat

    5) NDT
