About the job

The Supplier Performance Manager II independently manages supplier contracts to ensure delivery, quality, and cost targets are met. The role leads recovery actions, conducts supplier audits, and drives performance improvement strategies in collaboration with internal teams. It also includes conducting QBRs and risk analyses while building strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance; issue scorecards and communicate results to suppliers and SPI stakeholders
  • Independently develop and execute action plans for containment, recovery, and improvement with suppliers
  • Lead supplier visits and audits to assess compliance and performance, including QBRs tailored to supplier challenges and opportunities
  • Conduct risk analyses with suppliers, including load-versus-capacity assessments and industrialization readiness for new products
  • Assess the impact of supplier issues on SPI's supply chain and recommend corrective actions
  • Apply contractual penalties or claims in coordination with procurement when performance standards are not met
  • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and quality teams to align supplier improvement strategies with SPI goals
  • Travel up to 40% to supplier sites to support recovery plans and strengthen relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or supply chain (aerospace preferred)
  • Proficiency with ERP and data analysis tools; Power BI and Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and supplier development
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
