*** Aerospace Source Inspector ***

About the Role

We are looking for detail orientated Aerospace Source Inspector, with a background in a range of mechanical commodities, to support a new as-required project in the Ljubljana, Slovenia area. This role involves conducting on-site in-process and source inspections at a supplier facility between 1 to 2 days a month to ensure that mechanical components and assemblies meet customer requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections on large, machined parts, with specific focus on welding and thread compliance.
• Validate supplier processes and outputs against drawings, specifications, and contracts. 
• Document inspection findings and provide timely reports to stakeholders. 
• Raise and assist in resolving quality issues at supplier sites. 
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific standards. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Have a minimum of 3 years quality and/or engineering expertise in the aerospace and defence industries.
• Proven background in mechanical inspection for aerospace, defence, or similar critical industries. 
• In-depth knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications. 
• Proficiency with measurement tools (CMM, micrometers, gauges, etc.). 
• Experience in welding inspection highly desirable.
• Familiarity with NADCAP processes is a plus. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
