Overview

*** Electo-Mechanical Inspectors (Defence) ***

 

Currently seeking two experienced Inspectors to support a stock validation program over a three-month period.

Based near Wimbledon, the role will require the unpacking and checking of mechanical and electrical components comply with basic inspection checks, and ensuring all associated paperwork is correct.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • To quality inspect all in-stock items.
  • To conduct both visual and basic mechanical inspection of parts.
  • To log discrepancies found and provide feedback clearly to the customer.
  • To clear the backlog of stock in quarantine.
  • Validation of all associated product documentation.

 

Background and Experience: 

  • The requirement will be for 2 x Inspectors one of whom at least must be Electrically SQEP with an IPC certification.
  • A skillset in electrical and mechanical inspection.
  • Experience of UK MOD assurance requirements and working practices.
  • Sound working knowledge of Defence engineering standards and working practices.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 27001.
  • Experience in risk identification, reporting and management.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in IT skills, specifically in MS Office tools.
  • Flexible and responsive attitude.
  • Proficient at multi-tasking, working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a Sole UK National (due to program security restrictions).
  • Ideally holds UK Government Security Clearance as this will be required.

This activity is inside IR35 (Umbrella Company Required)
