Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that measurement devices used in various processes (like manufacturing, quality control, and research) are accurate and reliable.
  • Perform calibrations by comparing measurement devices to known standards, adjusting them to meet specified tolerances, and ensuring they meet quality control requirements.
  • Utilize various tools and instruments, including calibrated environmental monitors, high-accuracy calibrators, laser interferometers, and NIST calibrated masters.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration procedures, results, and any adjustments made to measurement devices.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality control staff to ensure the proper functioning and accuracy of measurement systems.
  • Troubleshoot measurement problems and identifying potential issues with measurement devices. 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in a calibration role or equivalent technical training
  • Basic knowledge of calibration of tools to measure Pressure, Vacuum, Electrical, Force, and Torque
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and apply to common practices in a tight tolerance environment.
  • Able to apply mathematics (i.e. trigonometry, algebra, geometry, etc.) to complex situations and applications.
  • Experience using sine plates, angle plates, Jo blocks, height stands and Cadillac gages along with common measuring hand tools like micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, vernier calipers, etc.).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Will be working as an independent contractor (1099).
  • Must have LLC/DBA or able to obtain an LLC/DBA within 90 days.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
