Hours/Week: Monday - Friday 40/hrs week (possible overtime)
Rate: $30/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support our onsite operations at the Waterboro, ME facility for an expected duration of 6 calendar months. The successful candidate will perform receipt inspection on incoming materials and in-process inspection for materials in work. This role involves using measurement tools to conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) validation, entering Form 3 characteristic data in FAI packages, and monitoring conforming and non-conforming stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform receipt inspection on incoming materials and in-process inspection for materials in work.
- Use measurement tools to conduct FAI validation, incoming receipt, and in-process inspections.
- Enter Form 3 characteristic data in FAI packages.
- Monitor conforming and non-conforming stock and report status to the team.
- Maintain incoming receipt logs, inspection logs, and test logs.
- Monitor tooling calibration, facility safety, and adherence to required documentation.
- Support day-to-day project activities and requirements as managed by the onsite QA Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role min 10 years.
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and measurement tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Must pass Mechanical Commodity Assessment and AS9102B Assessment with an 84%
Management
- The Quality Inspector will be managed tactically by the onsite QA Manager for day-to-day project activities and requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around manufacturing and inspection areas for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and handle objects up to [Insert Weight] pounds as needed during inspections.
- Fine motor skills for handling precision measuring tools and delicate components.
- Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses) to read detailed engineering drawings and perform close inspections.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
